Rooted To Bloom Therapist
Hi there! I’m so excited to be joining Bloom as a student intern. Before joining Bloom’s team, I earned a bachelor's in Psychology from the University of Central Florida, and I’m currently working toward my Master of Social Work (MSW) at the University of South Florida. Prior to starting graduate school, I worked as a Care Navigator in teletherapy settings, guiding individuals as they navigated therapy for the first time. I also volunteered as a Crisis Counselor with the Crisis Text Line, supporting individuals in moments of emotional distress. Through these experiences, it became clear to me that mental healthcare needed more champions who show up with patience, curiosity, and empathy, especially for those who are still figuring out how to ask for help. Being a teen or young adult comes with a lot of challenges: pressure from so many different directions, navigating all kinds of relationships, and the list goes on. With so many stressors already in your life, my goal is to provide a safe, nonjudgmental space where you can slow down and explore your feelings.

Fun Facts

Beyond the Therapy Room

Favorite self-care activity?

Taking care of my body is my favorite form of self-care! Whether it’s a face mask, painting my nails, or baking myself a sweet treat, doing something kind for myself always helps me reset.

Favorite book as a teen?

Some of my favorite stories as a teen were written in alto clef. I played the viola all throughout high school and usually chose to spend my free time practicing sheet music. But I did occasionally enjoy a good coming-of-age story. A couple of my favorites were The Perks of Being a Wallflower and The Fault in Our Stars.

Favorite stress-busting technique as a teen?

I was born and raised in Florida, so being outside has always felt like a natural way to cope with stress. Whenever I felt overwhelmed, I’d go for a walk, take a swim, or just sit outside with my dog, Marley. Getting fresh air and soaking up the sun always helped me clear my mind.
