Keisha Auguste

Registered Clinical Social Work Intern
Hi there … I’m so glad you’re here. Starting therapy can feel overwhelming, but you don’t have to do it alone. My goal is to make you feel supported, understood, and safe to be yourself. Whether you’re a parent seeking help for your teen or a young adult looking for a non-judgmental space, I’m here to walk with you through every step. My name is Keisha Auguste, and I’m a Registered Clinical Social Worker Intern. I earned my Bachelor’s in Social Work from Florida A&M University and my Master’s in Social Work from Fordham University. Since 2021, I’ve supported children, teens, and adults as they navigate anxiety, depression, trauma, OCD, mood challenges, substance use, and behavioral concerns. I use a holistic and personalized approach, pulling from CBT, DBT, ACT, ERP, SFT, and play-based interventions to meet each client where they are. I believe therapy isn’t about “fixing” you … it’s about helping you build the tools, strength, and confidence to heal and grow. Outside of work, I enjoy reading, mindfulness, spending time with loved ones, painting, traveling, and relaxing near the water. I am fluent in English and conversational Haitian Creole.

Fun Facts

Beyond the Therapy Room

Favorite self-care activity?

My favorite form of self-care is anything that helps me slow down and come back to myself. Rest is big for me … real rest. I also love taking long, hot showers because that’s where I do a lot of my mindfulness work. Being around my family fills me up, and when I really need to ground myself, I literally go outside, take my shoes off, and touch the grass. It’s the simplest thing, but it brings me back into my body every single time.

Favorite book as a teen?

As a teenager, I was completely obsessed with ‘Flyy Girl’ and ‘Coldest Winter Ever’. I also loved ‘Say Goodnight, Gracie’ …. those three books stayed with me for years. They were the first stories that made me fall in love with reading and seeing myself in different ways.

Favorite stress-busting technique as a teen?

Whenever I needed to unwind as a teen, all I had to do was turn on Nickelodeon. Shows like Rugrats, Hey Arnold!, Doug, and Looney Tunes, Recess, Pepperanne to name a few, were my go-to comfort shows. They always made me laugh and helped me escape whatever I had going on at the time.
